Trout Valley Farm History
Trout Valley Farm, located in northwest Mississippi, was established by the current owner’s ggg grandfather Captain William Black (CSA) in the late 1860s. The farm reached its peak of approximately 6,500 acres in the 1870s. The early 20th century leading into the Great Depression saw much of the farm sold off. Currently the farm is run by Bud and DeLoris Trout along with their son Cal, and contains around 1,100 acres. It is situated at the geographic divide of the Loess Bluffs and the Mississippi Delta in Tallahatchie County.
